DESCRIPTION
The story of Mahkam is one of strength and resilience. This collection is a deeply personal reflection of our individual journeys and transitions from the past to the future. The work is inspired by the strength that was needed to persevere and make difficult choices – the strength to proclaim, “I will live and carry on”.
We chose brass instead of silver for most of the pieces to achieve a heavier and sturdier feel. Chain, hammered textures, and a minimal polish give the work an unfinished look. Rutilated quartz has been used to complete the visual impact and represents the strength from which this collection has been inspired.
